Data Entry

Data must be collected centrally each year in order for students to receive awards for their completion of the Challenge. In the case of government schools, data entry occurs through EDSAS. For non-government schools, a portal has been created to enable data entry. The data, once received, is added to the profile of each student and automatically updates their ‘medal status’. Following is a broad outline of the process for data entry. More specific details will be sent to coordinators.

Government Schools

Data entry for Government schools opens on Monday 19 July and closes on Friday 24 September 2021.

Students who have completed the Challenge for the year are to be entered via EDSAS before Friday 24 September 2021.

The approval of participants’ physical activity data will be from 19 July until 24 September 2021.

The approval process will occur via EDSAS, usually an SSO or site leader has access to this system.

You will not be required to send any records into the Premier’s be active Challenge.

An email will be sent to the school’s PbaC coordinators with the Entering Premier’s be active Challenge Data into EDSAS Fact Sheet before the start of term 3. This fact sheet outlines the steps required by schools to submit student data.

If you require any assistance with EDSAS, please contact ICT Service Desk on 8204 1866.

Non-Government Schools

Data entry for Non-Government schools opens on Monday 19 July and closes on Friday 24 September 2021.

Students who have completed the Challenge for the year are to be entered via the department’s Application Portal (EDUPortal) before Friday 24 September 2021.

The approval of participants’ physical activity data will be from 19 July until 24 September 2021.

The approval process is through the EDUPortal and the school’s PbaC coordinators will be provided with a username and password to access the EDUPortal to enter student data for the school.

A username and password will be emailed to the school’s PbaC coordinators, in two separate emails before the start of term 3. These are valid only during the data entry period and last year’s username and password are on longer valid.

You will not be required to send any records into the Premier’s be active Challenge.

You are strongly advised to print the current Premier’s be active Challenge Non-Government Schools Data Entry Instructions before beginning the data entry process.

If you require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the Premier’s be active Challenge team.
