Congratulations on participating in the 20th year of the Premier’s be active Challenge in South Australia.
I am challenging South Australian students from Reception to Year 12 to do 60 minutes of physical activity, 5 days per week for at least 4 weeks by 25 September 2026.
The Premier’s be active Challenge rewards outstanding achievement. Over their years at school, students can collect 12 medals, and should feel proud of their efforts.
As in previous years, the Premier’s be active Challenge excelled in 2025, with over 38, 800 students from 278 schools completing the Challenge. Students took part in the Challenge at school and at home. This is an outstanding achievement and I thank school staff and parents for your time and efforts in supporting children and their families to complete the Challenge.
The Challenge has been fortunate to have high profile and enthusiastic ambassadors who inspire students to enjoy being active and achieving their goals. Athletes from the South Australian Sports Institute plus Adelaide United Football Club, Adelaide Lightning Basketball Club, Adelaide 36ers Basketball Club, Port Adelaide Football Club, Adelaide Football Club, Thunderbirds Netball Club and SA Women’s Cricket have also thrown their support behind the Premier’s be active Challenge.
Information about the Challenge is available on the website www.pbac.sa.edu.au, by telephoning (08) 8226 2006, or by email at Education.PbaC@sa.gov.au. A school contact person is required to coordinate your school’s participation on behalf of all teachers, staff and students at your school.
I encourage all students to discover the joy of being active with the Premier’s be active Challenge. I wish you every success in 2026.
