Solly Bushby - Beach Volleyball
Solly Bushby is a 6”9 Australian Beach Volleyball athlete from Adelaide, South Australia. Joining the National Beach Volleyball Program in 2022, Solly has travelled to 27 countries across the globe competing on the World Tour. He has his eyes set on qualifying for the LA 2028 Olympics and bringing home a gold medal in the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
Starting the volleyball journey in high school, he played indoor volleyball for the local club and had been selected for the Talent Search Pathway system in the Volleyball South Australia program. After graduating high school, beach volleyball was the chosen career and whilst attending University studying Mathematical sciences and working a part time job, after a year, Solly had made the National Team. Exercise has always been crucial to developing life-long skills, the freedom of being a full time athlete and having flexibility on work and study.

Blocking a hard spike from the opponent – most satisfying feeling.
If I wasn’t doing my current sport I would like to be:
A professional hiker or adventure guide.
