Breanna Hargrave - Track Cycling

Bree Hargrave is a South Australian Track Cyclist who grew up in the Adelaide Hills. She transferred from Athletics to Track Cycling at the age of 28 as part of a Talent Transfer Program. Her dream as a child was to represent Australia in sport and to win Gold at the Olympic Games.

At the age of 39, Bree finally ticked off the first part of this goal when she was selected to represent Australia at The Track Nations Cup in Scotland. She then went on to represent Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where she rode in the Women’s Track Sprint events. She was later selected in the Australian Team to ride at the Track Nations Cup in Adelaide in 2023.

Aside from cycling, Bree also runs a Physiotherapy Practice in Norwood called Active Edge Physiotherapy & Massage. Most recently Bree has also become a Mum to 6 month old Xavier Ryan. This has been an incredible experience and she has enjoyed the challenge of getting back into high level sport following having a baby. For fun, she loves to go surfing and spending time with her family.

Bree’s story is about chasing dreams through persistence, resilience and hard work. She is excited to share it with others in the hope of encouraging them to chase their dreams too.
