Premier’s be active Challenge medals were awarded at Adelaide West Special Education Centre’s fantastic sports day.

Students from Adelaide West Special Education Centre received their Premier’s be active Challenge medals at their Sports Day recently. The students engaged in lots of physical activity in Term 3 to earn their medals. Sports circuits organised by a team of volunteers from Uni SA as part of the Sports United program helped all students, whatever their abilities, to achieve their physical activity goals.

On sports Day students were involved in a range of activities in the morning, including Bocce, an obstacle race, and skittles. Then in the afternoon, the school hall was able to accommodate lots of races, both individual and team relays. It was great that families were able to come to cheer their children on at appropriate physical distances!
