Rebekah Thomson - Trampolining (IAP)
Growing up in the Riverland, I began my gymnastics journey at the age of 9. I started with recreational gymnastics and quickly discovered a love for challenging myself. This led me to enrol in both artistic gymnastics and acrobatics, which were great fun. However, I soon realised that I couldn’t get enough of the trampolines!
I started trampolining at the age of 14, and from the very beginning, I was captivated by the challenge and artistry it offers. For just over 4 years during my schooling, I travelled 3 hours to and from training in Adelaide 4 days a week—a commitment that taught me the value of perseverance, discipline, and hard work.
My journey in this incredible sport has been driven by passion and dedication. In my relatively short time in trampolining, I’ve claimed 2 National Titles, 3 National Club Titles, and competed in 4 international competitions, earning medals in 2 of them. Today, I’m incredibly proud to represent Australia as part of the Trampoline National Squad. Reaching this level has been a dream come true and stands as a testament to the effort and love I’ve poured into my sport.

What sporting success looks like:
To me, success is knowing you’ve given everything you’ve got and the success should be measured by the personal growth and development of yourself. You can only control how hard you work towards your goals, not how other people perform.
