Georgia Dent - Netball

Brief Intro.

Georgia Dent is an optimistic and down to earth person, who never shies away from a challenge. As an athlete, Georgia thrives off of hard work and pushing herself and her teammates to their limits. As an 180cm midcourt player, Georgia is known for her dynamic and sharp movements off of a mark and her natural instinct in being able to read the play.
Over the past 4 years, Georgia has held a SASI netball scholarship and is currently in the U21 World Youth Cup squad, she has also been named as a 2021 pathway athlete with the Adelaide Thunderbirds. As a young athlete, Georgia has had to learn how to balance life with her sporting commitments and lives by the quote “if it was easy, everyone would be doing it”, driving her to be the best possible version of herself on and away from the court.

Being exposed to a variety of incredible recourses, particularly the gym, court and professionals who are extremely creditable within their professions.

Explore a variety of activities and find one that you enjoy the most. Don’t be scared to try something new that your friends aren’t doing because you never know the people you will meet or where that sport or activity could take you!

My favourite way to keep active

Runs and walks along the beach in the morning and kicking the football with my family at the park near our house.

The sport I like watching the most

It definitely would have to be netball, but I also thoroughly enjoy watching all sports especially, the footy, cricket and tennis.

What sporting success looks like

To me sporting success looks like the friendship and the memories I have made with them, as well as knowing in myself that I have done everything I possibly could do in order to push myself to my best.
